INGREDIENTS

  • 1 bunch Turnip - fresh
  • 0.5 cup Bone Broth
  • 0.13 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger - minced
  • 3 tablespoon Tamari
  • 1 tablespoon Mirin
  • 1 teaspoon Maple Syrup
  • 2 tablespoon Green Onion - green part only, sliced
INSTRUCTIONS
  • Clean turnips and remove the greens. Heat a medium sized deep skillet on high heat, add turnip greens, bone broth, and season with salt (it helps to reduce the bitterness).
  • Bring the broth up to a boil, and turn down to medium heat. Add ginger, tamari, mirin, and maple syrup, and continue cooking until the bone broth has cooked off and turnip greens are tender. Garnish with sliced green onion.
NOTES
We recommend using Thai Kitchen brand tamari, or any gluten free brand. This recipe could also work with small whole carrots.
Start with 1/2 cup portion at a meal, and then trial up to 1 cup at one meal.
